Not only are we passionate about minis here at Care-A-Lot Farm, but we also love to garden. We hope you enjoy our gardening tips and tricks as well as an array of garden photos from our various gardens both past and present!
Early on
We first began dabbling with gardening on a small scale prior to moving to the farm in 2011. Once settled on the farm, we were excited to not only have more space, but we now had access to our own horse’s manure as well as the use of our tractor. These three aspects allowed our budding love for gardening to take off and blossom into what you see today.
Current
Our garden has not only grown in size, but our variety of produce has expanded greatly over the years. With a large booming garden, we are now able to can a significant amount of salsa, pickles and tomatoes, as well as share our bounty with friends and family. In recent years, we have also added several fruits to the farm such as apples, figs, blueberries, thornless blackberries and a variety of grapes. Needless to say, we stay quite busy, but just like the minis, gardening is a true labor of love and a shared group effort!
